    We ride to Damxun, northern Tibet. Amdo is the heart of northern Tibet, we are riding on the Changtang Plateau. Continue to Nakqu, land of the nomads.

    Thursday Everest bc to Shigatse
    Wake up the the glorious sun rise on Everest, wetake the Eco bus back to our bikes and back track to Tingri for lunch. After wards we ride to Shigatse for a night.
    Shigatse is the second largest city in Tibet and also a great place to rest and dine.

    Wednesday Lhatse to Mt. Everest base camp

    Be riding over 5200 meter Gyoola pass to see the panaromic view of the himalayan ranges
    including Everest, Makalu, Lotse and Choyu.

    Tuesday Gyantse to Lhatse

    Departure for Lhatse, we shall first visit the Sakya Monastery which is a very unique and less visit Sakyapa Sect Temple, after lunch we head for Lhatse. Ride 277km

    Second location:
    We are going to see Sakya Monastery, which is located at the foot of Benbo Mountain in Sakya County, Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous Region. It is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery of the Sakya sect and also the main temple of the Sakya sect, which once played an important role in history.
    The admission fee is 60.00/person.

  • Day 11 April 28 Monday Lhasa to Gyantse

    Ride to 4900m Gambala Pass and see very nice view above the Yamdrok Lake with background of Ninkin kangsar Mountain (7111m) and visit the ancient Fortress in Gyantse in the afternoon.

    We plan to leave hotel at 8:00a.m.
    As the winding road gradually ascends until this point, we can see Yamdrok Lake. You can take photos and enjoy the beautiful scenery here. If you want to enter the viewing platform to park and take photos, an entrance fee will be charged, which is 80 yuan per person. It is recommended that you park in a safe place, take some quick photos and then continue driving forward.

    Pass 5030 meters before going down to Lhasa. Celebrate our adventure to Lhasa with a bottle of Lhasa beer !

    Ranwo to Linzhi
    The drive to Linzhi is through alpine forest
    landscapes. We will have a chance to see the
    grant massif of Gyala Peri(7294m) and Namcha Barwa(7756m) on the Se Ji La pass 4600 meters.

  • Day 7 April 24 Thursday Zuogong to Ranwo
    Ride cross the Salween River on the way. Roads get winding as we ride through the river gorges. We actually have travelled through the three biggest rivers of Asia, Yangyse, Mekong and Salween rivers.

    Due to the closure of several road sections for construction tomorrow, we need to cooperate with the construction work’s release schedule. Therefore, we must set off early and queue up early to get through. Breakfast starts at seven o’clock, and we must set off before eight o’clock.

  • Day 6 April 23 Wednesday
    Deqin to Zuogong
    Sunrise over the 6740 meter highest unclimbed mountain in the world.
    Travel along the north of Mekong River valley into Tibet.

    Ride 349KM Alt. 3400m – 5100m Cold 10℃

    Hotel serves breakfast from 7:30, so we are supposed to leave before 8:30.
    Sunrise at 6:51a.m. we suggest to go viewing platform to see the spectacle, then back hotel for meal.
    Today’s riding is exciting and challenging, pay enough attention on driving. Supposed 8 hours will be required, as check point and petrol refill take time.

    Cold is OK with the right gear. Treacherous roads (like ice skating rings mixed with engine oil, massive potholes and no visibility are more challenging. 🥹
